Highlands Ranch is rich in history, wildlife, and recreation. Highlands Ranch was as part of the Louisiana Purchase and has been a working ranch for over 100 years. The area south of the ranch is 8,200 acres of pristine wilderness area where there is an abundance of wildlife. Highlands Ranch residents enjoy more than 70 miles of trails in the backcountry, parks and bike trails, along with easy access to downtown Denver's cultural and sporting attractions. Highlands Ranch provides convenient access to all of Denver's major attractions and business centers including Chatfield Recreation Area, Cherry Creek Shopping Center, Coors Field, downtown Denver, Denver Tech Center, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Pepsi Center, and Park Meadows Mall.
Our community is also near more than 2,000 acres of open space, 70 miles of paved and natural trails, two 18-hole golf courses, 16 local parks, three community parks and one regional park.
Vi residents belong to and participate in many local organizations. Residents hold memberships at local organizations including Cherry Hills Country Club, Glenwood Country Club, Denver World Affairs Council, Highlands Ranch Golf Club, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Castle Pines Golf Club, and The Academy. We offer scheduled transportation and arrange outings to popular destinations. We also work to bring cultural programming to Vi at Highlands Ranch throughout the year.
