Assisted Living Care

One day, you may need help with daily care - for things like bathing or remembering to take medication. In our Assisted Living program, our licensed nurses work with you and your physician to develop a service plan tailored to deliver care, promote your wellbeing, and support your independence.  

Nurses and other trained caregivers are on staff 24 hours a day to provide services including:

• Initial evaluation and an individualized service plan
• Assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Case management, including communication with the resident's physician and family
• Medication monitoring and administration
• Reminders and assistance with meals
• Wellness programs such as periodic health screenings and exercise classes

We value the dignity of all Vi residents, and put an emphasis on self-care, with instruction, support, or assistance provided as needed.

Assisted Living Services and Amenities

Assisted living residences are on the Vi campus, so if you are a resident of assisted living, you can remain close to friends and stay active in the community. As a resident, you'll also enjoy a beautiful private apartment, fine dining, and activities and services tailored to your interests and abilities - from cultural outings to art classes. It's all part of our philosophy to help promote wellbeing and maximize independence.

The assisted living program provides:

• A private residence that you can furnish with your own belongings
• Enhanced safety features in public and private living areas
• Nurse call system
• Three meals a day featuring a wide variety of fresh and seasonal selections chosen by our classically trained executive chef
• Housekeeping, laundry, and scheduled transportation for shopping, events, and appointments
• A fitness room and exercise classes led by a personal trainer
• Wellness programming designed to encourage activity and engagement with the larger community, with activities like restaurant outings, trips to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and volunteer opportunities

Services available for an additional fee* include:

• Physical, speech and occupational therapy
• Ancillary medical supplies and services
• Pharmaceutical services
• Personal companion services
• Personal laundry service
• Salon services
