Skilled Nursing Care

At Vi, skilled nursing care is located onsite in our community. When you are a care center resident, you'll stay near friends and family, whether you need short-term care while recovering from surgery or illness or need ongoing long-term nursing care.

The skilled nursing care program provides:

• Assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing, and eating
• Case management, including communication with the resident's physician(s) and family
• Group and individual activities tailored to each resident
• Hydration and nutrition monitoring program
• Initial assessment and an individualized interdisciplinary care plan
• Meal service and assistance with eating
• Medical orders and treatment plans carried out by licensed nurses
• Medication administration and monitoring

Services available that may be covered by Medicare:

• Physical, speech and occupational therapy
• Ancillary medical supplies and services
• Pharmaceutical services

Services available for an additional fee* include:

• Personal companion services
• Personal laundry service

Skilled Nursing Care Services and Amenities

Your room at the care center is designed to feel like home, plus you can add personal touches and furnishings. You'll also have access to a wonderful dining room, activity room and cozy visiting spaces where you can connect with friends and family.

Private care suites include:

• Extended digital cable television
• Daily light housekeeping, including bed making
• Individual climate control
• Laundering of towels and bed linens as needed
• Baths featuring easy-access showers with assist bars
• Nurse call system
• Telephone with local service
• Therapeutic diets accommodated by a nutrition services manager under the supervision of a registered dietitian
• Three delicious meals prepared each day under the supervision of our classically trained executive chef
• Wellness programing designed for residents in Skilled Nursing Care, with daily activities like morning stretch and sit and be fit, and weekly activities like outings and scenic drives
