Amy Mataro is responsible for the comfort, well-being and satisfaction of each resident of Vi at Bentley Village. She oversees every aspect of the community, including the quality of service, amenities, programs and care provided to residents. Prior to joining Vi in 1992, Amy gained her expertise in the hospitality industry at Hyatt Hotels. An assisted living administrator, Amy completed a master's certificate program in gerontology from Florida International University and earned her bachelor of science degree in restaurant, hotel and institutional management from Purdue University.
Susan Keener oversees every aspect of the care center at Vi at Bentley Village, from the quality of the resident experience and care to communications with family members. She is a member of the multidisciplinary care team, which works with each resident and his or her family and physician to develop a plan of care. Susan has worked with older adults for most of her career and earned her master's degree in health administration.
As Director of Bentley Home Care, Betty Bailey Lauffer ensures that the care and services provided by the home health care agency are delivered in accordance with Vi mission, core values, resident care philosophy and standards of care and practice. Betty is a longstanding board member of the Christian Chamber of Southwest Florida and serves as its secretary.
As Executive Chef, Ed Padden oversees every aspect of the culinary program for Vi at Bentley Village, including menu creation and food preparation. Prior to joining Vi at Bentley Village in 1996, Ed enhanced his culinary experience in the hotel industry and at various country clubs. He has received customized training provided by The Culinary Institute of America on nutrition, healthy cooking and baking techniques, flavor dynamics and food and wine pairing. He is a certified executive chef, certified dietary manager and certified food protection professional.
As Director of Food and Beverage, David Schini works with the Executive Chef and Assistant Director of Dining Services to oversee every aspect of the culinary program and dining experience for Vi at Bentley Village. A member of the Vi team for more than 20 years, David's career in food and beverage management spans more than 38 years. He is a certified food and beverage executive, certified dietary manager and certified food protection professional.
John Maguire is responsible for every aspect of the dining experience at Vi at Bentley Village, from table reservations and settings to the personalized service each resident receives. John has served residents of Vi at Bentley Village for more than 17 years. He holds an assisted living administrator's certification from the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs and is a certified food and beverage executive, certified dietary manager and certified food protection professional.
Gary Pace is responsible for maintaining every aspect of the setting at Vi at Bentley Village. Gary is dedicated to maintaining this richly designed environment. Before joining Vi at Bentley Village more than 10 years ago, Gary developed his engineering and maintenance skills at Hyatt Hotels and has been dedicated to enhancing the experience of older adults for more than 20 years.
Debbie Galt oversees the housekeeping function for each resident's home as well as the community areas at Vi at Bentley Village. She acquired her housekeeping management skills in the resort and hotel industry. She earned her degree in hotel and motel management and is certified as an executive housekeeper by the International Executive Housekeepers Association.
Terri Lamon enhances both resident and employee satisfaction through oversight and management of the human resources function at Vi at Bentley Village. She recruits and develops top employees who have a passion for working with older adults. Terri has more than 20 years of human resources and training experience and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
Siobhan Mangan oversees lifestyle programs designed for residents, such as social and community involvement, participatory and spectator events, creative and educational coursework, lecture series, travel clubs, book reviews, fitness classes and more. In this role, Siobhan creates and implements lifestyle-enriching programs that contribute to each resident's whole-person wellness. Siobhan graduated from Florida International University in Miami and is enrolled in a master's program to further enhance her abilities.
