Classic Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village Celebrates Major Expansion
San Diego’s Finest Luxury Senior Living Community Opens Second Tower
San Diego, CA -
December 4, 2008
Classic Residence by Hyatt, a national leader in luxury senior
living, will celebrate the completion of the $147 million dollar
expansion of the company's continuing care retirement community
(CCRC) in San Diego, Calif. at a grand opening event on December 4.
Classic Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village is a "Type A" CCRC
that offers an unmatched level of services and amenities, rooted in
the company's hospitality heritage.
A "Type A" continuing care retirement community means that
residents have access to high quality care on-site, including
assisted living, skilled nursing and memory support/Alzheimer's
care if they should need it, which can provide a sense of
reassurance and comfort to older adults, especially in these
unpredictable times.
The community's continuing care program provides residents with
access to the on-site care center with virtually no increase in
their monthly fees, except for additional meals or ancillary items.
Knowing that a continuum of care is available provides the
residents of a continuing care retirement community, like Classic
Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village, greater peace of mind
knowing that they have planned wisely for the future.
Long term financial planning is critically important in this
economic climate. In addition, Americans are living longer than
ever before due to healthier lifestyles and better health care, yet
health care and insurance costs continue to rise. Choosing a
continuing care retirement community can help fix long-term care
costs for a couple or individual, versus the cost of long-term care
insurance or private nursing.
"We very pleased that older adults are making the wise choice to
move into Classic Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village now," said
Randal J. Richardson, president, Classic Residence by Hyatt. "We
are proud to deliver an outstanding value to our residents and
encourage older adults in the area to visit us and learn about the
economic and social benefits of living at a continuing care
retirement community."
The new North Tower continues to fill with excited residents who
have made the choice to take advantage of all the life at Classic
Residence by Hyatt has to offer. Though the first new residents
moved into the North Tower this past summer, the December 4
celebration event will be the first time the media will be formally
invited to tour this spectacular, one-of-kind premier retirement
destination in Southern California.
Classic Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village blends the
concept of a world-class hotel, recreational living and fine dining
with the availability of care to create a vibrant lifestyle in a
unique setting. Located at 8515 Costa Verde Boulevard, it is the
ideal location for a luxury living community. Older adults enjoy
panoramic views of Torrey Pines bluffs from both the North and
South Towers and are in close proximity to two medical centers,
popular shopping centers and world-class theatre. Resident homes in
the newly expanded North Tower are spacious and range from 1,200 to
2,919 square feet.
The 365,108-square foot new North Tower compliments the
community's polished campus and existing South Tower and care
center. The new tower includes 184 beautifully designed apartments,
and a new community space that joins the community's two towers.
The new circular driveway is lined with cypress leading to a grand
fountain and dramatic porte-cochere. Warm decorating tones, Italian
marble, and hand placed mosaic tiles are also incorporated into the
striking dcor that is found throughout the entire property.
Services available to residents include concierge assistance,
valet service, housekeeping and maintenance, freeing time for
leisure activities such as lectures, musical events, book
discussions, and area excursions. The community also features a
full-service spa; state-of-the-art fitness center; and indoor
swimming pool. Plus residents can choose from fitness classes that
include Pilates, yoga, line-dancing and tai chi.
Because healthy, gourmet dining is one of the cornerstones of
the company's hospitality heritage, two new restaurants have been
added to the North Tower, expanding the dining options for
residents. Cafe Biscotti, a casual cafe serving breakfast, lunch
and mid-day specialty coffee and light fare, was unveiled earlier
this year. Arrosti, an elegantly casual bistro, opened in late May.
Unique elements of Arrosti's flare include a demonstration kitchen
and private seating areas. The America's Cup, a richly decorated
bar and lounge with mahogany walls and overstuffed club chairs, is
now an ideal spot for residents to enjoy sporting events on a 56"
television. The original club style restaurant on the 21st floor of
the South Tower has been transformed to Twenty One, a formal dining
room-which opened just this fall and already is quite popular with
the residents who want to enjoy a formal dining option in the
evenings.
