Classic Residence by Hyatt in Highlands Ranch Celebrates Grand Opening
Colorado’s First "Type A" Life Care Community Officially Opens
Highlands Ranch, CO -
October 23, 2008
Classic Residence by Hyatt, a national leader in luxury senior
living, today celebrates the grand opening of the company's newest
continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Highlands Ranch,
Colorado. The community welcomed its first residents in July of
this year.
The $150 million dollar development, a "Type A" continuing care
retirement community, is the first of its kind in Colorado. The
23.5-acre community, located just south of Denver, has 252
independent living residences. The Care Center, which will open in
2009, has 16 suites for assisted living, 12 suites for
Alzheimer's/memory support and 24 suites for skilled nursing care
services available on site to residents.
In this ideal location for a luxury living community, older
adults enjoy views of Mt. Evans and close proximity to two medical
centers, the airport, Rocky Mountains, and over 80 miles of walking
trails for outdoor enthusiasts. Resident homes are spacious and
range from 923 to 2,086 square feet, with entrance fees for the
community ranging from $308,000 to $885,400.
"We are thrilled to open the doors of our newest community,"
said Randal J. Richardson, president, Classic Residence by Hyatt.
"And we are very proud to be the first company to offer Type A life
care in the state of Colorado, which means our residents have
quality care on site when and if they should need it, and with
virtually no increase in their monthly fees. That allows the people
who live in our communities to concentrate on pursuing their
passions, whatever those may be, because they have greater peace of
mind knowing that they have planned wisely for the future, which is
so important in this economic climate."
Building on the company's more than twenty years of experience
and hospitality heritage, Classic Residence by Hyatt in Highlands
Ranch boasts a full range of services and amenities, including a
24-hour concierge, a fully equipped fitness center, executive
chef-prepared meals and many social, educational, and cultural
opportunities for residents. Current residents of Classic Residence
by Hyatt in Highlands Ranch hail from 21 different states, although
the majority comes from Colorado.
The developer, Shea Homes, and construction company, Saunders

Colorado. The architect is Chicago-based Solomon Coldwell
