Classic Residence by Hyatt and Plaza Companies Makes Significant Donation of Furniture and Other Items to Scottsdale-Area Charities
Senior Living Community Partners with Local Area Organizations
Scottsdale, AZ -
February 10, 2009
Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies, a senior
living community located at Grayhawk, has nearly completed an
extensive refurbishment project that included significant updates
to the common areas of its main building and Care Center. The
renovation allowed for a substantial donation of furniture and
other equipment, including nearly 200 dining chairs, tables,
conference room furniture, beauty salon apparatus and more to
several local-area charities. Beneficiaries include St. Vincent De
Paul; United Methodist Outreach Ministry (UMOM); and Phoenix-based
Human Services Campus, which includes the Central Arizona Shelter
Services, Lodestar Day Resource Center and the Success Center, a
job placement concern.
Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies has been a
proud North Scottsdale neighbor for the past ten years. The
companies' encore community at Silverstone, which is approximately
midway through development and opens next year, also has a
leadership team and resident population that is very committed to
causes that contribute to the well being of those who live in the
greater Scottsdale area.
"So many organizations are benefiting from this generous
donation. The new furniture and equipment allow all of us to
provide our constituents with a more professional environment,
which promotes productivity all around," said Steve Zabilski,
executive director, Society of St. Vincent de Paul. "We all feel
very fortunate to have found a partner in Classic Residence by
Hyatt and The Plaza Companies."
"Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies is honored
to work with these fine organizations and delighted to be able to
give back to the community during these challenging economic
times," noted Sharon Harper, president and CEO, Plaza
Companies.
