Classic Residence in Reno Welcomes Jim Cox as Executive Director

Vi, a leading provider of active older adult living communities,
is pleased to announce the appointment of James A. Cox as Executive
Director of Classic Residence in Reno, one of the company's
communities. He joins Classic Residence in Reno after serving
as Executive Director at Classic Residence by Hyatt in Monterey, CA
for the previous two and a half years.
With over 10 years of professional experience, Cox has proven
himself as a solid leader and a skillful strategist working with
seniors in independent, assisted living and memory care. Cox
is also a Licensed Vocational Nurse who spent five years as a US
Army Combat Medic and an Army reserves nurse. In his new position,
Cox will direct operations and manage programs that deliver quality
services to the community's residents.
Cox is an active member of the Alzheimer's Association, serving
as Board President of the Santa Cruz Chapter and active committee
member of the association's Memory Walk for San Francisco, Seattle,
Santa Cruz and Monterey. He recently received the 2010 Volunteer
Service Award from the Monterey, CA Alzheimer's Association.
Cox now lives in Reno, Nev.
