We are currently tracking Hurricane Florence. Florence made landfall Friday morning near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, as a Category 1 hurricane and has since seen its winds gradually decline. Now a tropical storm, Florence has continued to move slowly westward across South Carolina.
Hurricane Florence has not had any significant impact for our community at Vi at TidePointe. Local weather forecasts for today, Sunday, September 16th reflect a slight chance of showers during the day with a 20% chance of thunderstorms after 2:00 pm. Chance of precipitation increases to 50% tonight with moderate winds and rainfall amounts not expected to be more than 1/2”. The weather forecast for tomorrow, Monday, September 17th reflects a 50% likelihood of precipitation with moderate winds and rainfall amounts not exceeding ½” – 1”.
Florence no longer poses any significant risk to our community at Vi at TidePointe and this will be our final weather update related to this weather system.
