HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (May 22, 2025) – Vi at Highlands Ranch, Colorado’s only Type A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), has unveiled a major expansion to its five-star-rated Care Center, which provides assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care services in a supportive residential setting. The expansion increases the number of Care Center beds by 50 percent, enabling Vi at Highlands Ranch to provide residents with a continuum of care as their needs evolve, while also offering care services to non-CCRC residents for the first time.

Planning for the care center expansion began several years ago in response to growing demand and follows a full renovation of the Independent Living’s ’s common areas in 2024. The expanded Care Center strengthens Vi’s commitment to helping residents age in place. Vi residents can transition between specialized care levels seamlessly and safely, without the disruption of hospital transfers or off-site moves. Additionally, non-Vi residents in need of short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, memory support or skilled nursing can now receive care in one of the region’s highest-rated, Medicare-certified environments, subject to availability and admission criteria.

Vi at Highlands Ranch’s Care Center has earned the highest possible rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) across all Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living categories. Most Care Center staff are certified by the Alzheimer’s Foundation, underscoring Vi’s ongoing emphasis on quality, expertise and compassionate care.

Care Center Services Now Available to Residents and Non-Residents Include:

• Skilled Nursing – Short-term rehab and long-term clinical care provided by licensed professionals
• Assisted Living – Personalized support with daily activities in a comfortable, residential setting
• Memory Support – Vi’s proprietary memory care program, Canvas, provides individualized support and 24/7 supervision for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Vi at Highlands Ranch’s assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care residential settings are licensed by the Colorado Department of Health Services. Skilled nursing is also Medicare-certified. The Care Center accepts Traditional Medicare (Parts A & B) and Private Pay, and where the circumstances allow, and can process payment from other participating third-party or private insurance coverages.
