As Executive Director, Joachim (known as “Yo” for short) oversees every aspect of the community, which includes the quality of service, amenities, care, and programming for each and every Vi at Highlands Ranch resident. Yo previously worked at Vi at Palo Alto and has been with Vi since 2010.

Jessica directs all of our sales efforts at Vi at Highlands Ranch. She also manages each sales team member, and represents Vi to the larger Highlands Ranch community. Jessica has over 10 years of sales and marketing experience in Senior Living. She received her Bachelors in Human Services from Metropolitan State University and in 2018 became a Certified Assisted Living Administrator. Jessica joined Vi in 2021.

Ben oversees each care center department — from dining service to nursing care — and provides a quality experience to our residents. He works closely with his team of nurses to develop a personalized approach for every person at the care center. He has over 10 years of experience in senior care as both a Physical Therapist and Nursing Home Administrator in Colorado. Ben received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland and his MBA from the University of Colorado. Ben joined the Vi at Highlands Ranch care team in 2023.

Angela is at the center of everything social at Vi at Highlands Ranch. She creates, finds and arranges outings and events for residents like educational lectures, travel clubs, fitness classes, day trips to unique places in Colorado, and much more. Angela also helps manage the numerous resident-led clubs and events that keep Highlands Ranch members engaged and active. She brings more than 20 years of health and wellness experience and is continuing her education in Health Information Technology. Angela started as Lifestyle Assistant and was promoted to Lifestyle Coordinator before accepting the Director position. Angela joined Vi in 2015.

Rachel assists independent living residents and their family members should they need support during a change in a resident’s health. She also works to ensure residents receive the appropriate level of care and service while in independent living and oversees wellness amenities, and manages our concierge and valet services. Rachel worked in hospice care for 10 years prior to joining Vi in 2012.

Halie works to enhance both resident and employee satisfaction through oversight and management of human resources at Highlands Ranch. Halie began her career in restaurant management before transitioning to healthcare, holding roles in volunteer coordination and HR for a homecare agency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with minors in healthcare management and human resources. Halie joined Vi in 2022 and stepped into her current role in 2025.

Gail creates an exceptional dining experience for our residents, providing personalized service from table reservations and plate settings to purveyor selection and vendor coordination. Gail holds both an MBA and an Advanced Sommelier certification and has more than 20 years of experience in fine dining and luxury hotels. Gail joined Vi in 2026.

Executive Chef Aaron Ramsey oversees the culinary program for Vi at Highlands Ranch, including menu creation and food preparation. He has more than 30 years of experience at the highest levels of fine dining and luxury hospitality and is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University. Chef Ramsey joined Vi in 2026.

Michelle oversees all of the housekeeping and laundry services provided by Vi. She has been with the company since 2008 and has received her Advanced Custodial Technician Certification through CMI & ISSA. She is certified in hard floor surfaces, carpeted floor surfaces and cleaning chemistries. She is also certified in FEMA IS & ICS For Healthcare, and is a Certified Hospitality & Housekeeping Executive (CHHE).

Kendall is responsible for maintenance of the community’s physical plant and the numerous buildings on our 25-acre campus. He has over 25 years of experience in construction and maintenance with the civilian sector and the Army Corps of Engineers. Kendall joined Vi in 2018.

Sara is responsible for all accounting operations for Vi at Highlands Ranch. She brings more than 25 years of experience in acute care and rehabilitation hospital finance and holds a bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College. Sara joined Vi in 2025.
