Tracking Severe Weather

At Vi, our primary concern is always the well-being of our residents and staff.

We've established this section of our website to provide you with timely updates on severe weather and other conditions that could affect any of our Vi communities, actions that Vi has taken, and the status of affected communities.

Monday, August 5, 2024

Early Monday Morning, the National Weather Service issued a tropical storm warning for Beaufort County. The county is also under a storm surge warning. This weather event has the potential to affect Vi’s Hilton Head community in South Carolina.  The forecast remains uncertain, but current models reflect Debby’s forward motion has slowed, while it continues to track in a north easterly direction the storm will begin to graze the northeastern coastline of Georgia and the southeastern coastline of South Carolina beginning Monday morning and through Thursday. The current forecast suggests that Debby will bring tropical force winds and heavy rainfall to much of southeastern South Carolina.

The exact strength and position that Debby will impact the South Carolina coasts remains uncertain, but Debby remains a major weather event.  At this time, no evacuation orders have been communicated by State or Local emergency personnel and currently, the Vi Hilton Head community is preparing to defend in place.  However, we are readying our residents and staff for all possibilities and have initiated our communication and preparedness plans.

We will continue to follow the path of Hurricane Debby and encourage you to check our web site, at www.Viliving.com, or call this toll-free number (866) 416-0225 for future updates.  You may also reach us via email at emergencyinfo@viliving.com. We continue to be in touch with State and Local EMS authorities and will update our website and this toll-free number when new information is available.

At Vi, our primary concern is the well-being of our residents and staff.  We appreciate your support and cooperation during this situation.

Thank you.
