Continuing its strong tradition of earning accolades for training and development, Vi has once again achieved an impressive honor. For the sixth consecutive year, the organization was named among the winners of the LearningElite award. Among more than 70 winning organizations for 2016, Vi ranked #3. The award is presented annually by Chief Learning Officer magazine.
Operating 10 continuing care retirement communities throughout the nation, Vi has long been known and respected for providing a myriad of opportunities for learning, growth and success among its employees specializing in resident services, nursing, and professional areas.
Human Capital Media, the publisher of Chief Learning Officer magazine, announced the awards during the LearningElite Gala, which took place in Amelia Island, Florida. Determined by a rigorous, peer-reviewed benchmarking system that factors in best practices and principles for top performance, the award recognizes organizations that employ exemplary workforce-development strategies and deliver significant business results.
Judy Whitcomb, Vi’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Learning, and Organizational Development, was exuberant about the award because it reflects well on Vi’s culture of success. She explained that “this is exactly the sort of honor that we hope to achieve, as it says so much about the many opportunities we offer for professional growth. Our employees take the initiative to make the most of these programs and truly excel. There are a lot of wonderful stories about people who have moved onward and upward with Vi.”
To commemorate this achievement, Vi will be featured in the October issue of Chief Learning Officer magazine.
