VI RECOGNIZED AS “BEST SMALL COMPANY” AMONG TOP INNOVATORS IN CORPORATE EDUCATION BY CHIEF LEARNING OFFICER MAGAZINE

CHICAGO, IL, April 2, 2019 Vi, a leading national developer, owner and operator of high-end continuing care retirement communities, has received three 2019 LearningElite Awards from Chief Learning Officer for its outstanding corporate education programs. Ranked among 57 top global organizations, including AT&T and Nationwide Insurance, Vi placed fourth overall and received the editor’s choice designations for “Leadership Commitment” and “Best Small Company”. Today’s achievement marks the ninth consecutive year that Human Capital Media (HCM), publisher of Chief Learning Officer, is recognizing Vi as one of the organizations in its annual ranking, and Vi’s third consecutive year as one of the top five companies.

The comprehensive, peer-measured LearningElite Awards recognize organizations that provide their employees with the best-in-class learning and development tools to ensure career satisfaction, deliver strong business results, and promote best-in-class performance.

“We recognize that by continually investing in our employees through career growth opportunities, while cultivating a caring environment for employees and residents alike, we’re able to provide incomparable service and care for Vi residents across our 10 communities,” said Judy Whitcomb, Vi’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Learning, and Organizational Development. “Our Management Development, Emerging Leaders and Breakthrough Leadership Programs – as well as various online, virtual and classroom training programs – are a few examples of the professional growth opportunities we’re consistently providing for our team members.”

As an established leading developer, owner and manager of high-end continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), Vi is committed to providing a rewarding and meaningful career experience to its nearly 3,000 employees across the U.S. Vi’s career progression and development opportunities are available for employees at all 10 Vi communities across its resident service, nursing and professional service departments.

The LearningElite uses advanced evaluation methods to identify global organizations that are implementing highly effective and elite enterprise education and workforce development practices that measurably improve business results. This comprehensive program allows companies to quantify their progress toward making strong workforce development a driver of performance and competitive advantage.

The awards were presented at Chief Learning Officer magazine’s LearningElite Gala in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 1, 2019.
